Tone & Sound: Known for a big, warm, musical, and dynamic 3-D soundstage, offering high gain and drive similar to Chinese 12AX7 tubes combined with the classic warmth of vintage Mullard or Brimar tubes. [1, 2]
Noise & Microphonics: Features ultra-low microphonics and superior linearity, making it a popular choice for the V1 (input) position in guitar amplifiers to reduce fizz and unwanted noise. [1, 2]
Construction: The heater filaments are almost completely encased inside the plate structures, which means they do not glow brightly orange like traditional tubes when operating normally. [1, 2]
